Samantha and Jason, local New Yorkers, were originally suppose to get married in Mexico, but decided to cancel four months prior to their wedding date, because of the Zika virus. Since they both love Las Vegas, that was the next option. They decided on the elegant Mandarin Oriental Hotel in City Center on the Las Vegas Strip.
I immediately bonded with Samantha and Jason the first time I spoke with them. My wife was pregnant at the time, and her due date was right around the set date of their wedding. With Samantha having background in the entertainment industry, she has a good eye for great cinematography, and felt like Lighten Films was still the best choice. So it was an honor that she loved my work and wanted me to film their special day, even if it meant one of my team members. Fortunately, my wife had our baby 4 days before their wedding and I was able to film it and so happy I did.
Their wedding was so much fun, not just with the contagious enthusiasm of Samantha and Jason’s personalities, but the spirit of love they shared as well. The first look reaction from Jason was an instant classic and their vows were definitely some of my favorites I have ever heard. They hired a great team of vendors which always makes the wedding so much smoother. Their wedding timeline was executed perfectly by Scheme Events. Also, it was a pleasure, as always, working with my sister from another mister, Chelsea Nicole.
Samantha and Jason thank you for choosing Lighten Films out of all the other Las Vegas wedding videographers to film your special day, it was an honor.
